We we also love to hear some news on this.

What about the beta version? How much beta is that? What parts are missing?

We kind of had to accept that there is no real solution to doing newsletters in EZ Publish 4 and up.

What we did was to create all functions to build and configure the newsletters and articles in EZ Publish. Here we use the standard functions in EZ together with a separate pagelayout. This works very well.

For list management, the actual sending of the newsletter, bounce management and reporting we interface to third party software such as Campaign Monitor or Mail Monkey. They both provide APIs so that this can be done from within the EZ interface.

The functions of this third party software are, in my opinion, very good. The only drawback is the cost and the fact that you have to do the integration. The pricing for this services can also be kind of high dependent on how its used.

It would of course be better to keep it all in EZ and be able to keep the monthly subscription fee. But until there is a stable alternative in EZ this approach works well for us.

Hmm. We've been using a modified version of the 1.6 beta for the last year without any problems.

Not that I'm certifying this beta (your mileage may vary) but I'm really wondering what the problem is... Is it the beta label?

I'm also interested in stable version for ez 4.1. Someone of ezpublish can tell us something about this extension.

Thanks, Fran

Hi, we have try to install EZ newsletter beta on EZ 4.0.1 without success. EZ 4.0.1 start to have some strange reaction and we have to remove manually EZ Newsletter.

I'm waiting the stable version because I'm really interrested by using it.

Is there somebody using it successfully with EZ 4.0.1 ?

Let me know
