I really like it, this design is a really great progress as compared to the previous one, and you've done a tremendous work implementing it ! Kuddos.

http://share.ez.no/new/community/profile/ is borked, it seems. At least the layout. The register-login.... stuff doesn't seem to notice that I was already logged in?

My first impression from the looks is that I don't like it too much, color-wise, but the new templates seem to be a real improvement!

I love it ! :)

But where's the "round" logo ? I really liked the idea because it started to give an identity to the community ;-)

I really like it and congrats to all the people involved!!!

Whether we like the design itself or not, no doubt that the usability is much better. I think it is a big step forward and the community should be able to find its way even better :)

Well done !!

Hi Matthieu and thanks for the kudos !

About the blog creation issue : the feature is disabled for now, until we nail down good blogging guidelines on this platform. But this will be opened-up at some point, for you guys to blog !

Cheers !

I really liked this layout, but it's too wide... I tested it in a 1024x768 monitor and I got horizontal scrollbar...

I found another problem, the search box is invisible....

I tested again in another monitor and it's fine.... strange...

PS: I found the problem, the first computer I tested had some zoom effect in firefox, and the LCD monitor caused the invisible search box problem.

Usability and overall design is orders of magnitude better. It is artistry to squeeze such easy info access into the small space without crowding.

Has anyone tried skinning all the orange into a more neutral color? Like a gray, beige, aqua? Although not a big deal, the orange is just too gaudy for my personal taste.

The smallest font size in the tag cloud renders almost illegible at standard 100% zoom in my Safari browser on a 1440X900 LCD screen. Renders fine and very legible in Opera Browser on same screen. FYI.

Overall impression is huge leap forward in outward appearance of eZ. We all know how good it is underneath. A big thanks to everyone, great job.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the feedback, especially about the Orange color, your suggestion about that and also the tag cloud. I'll have to check with Nicolas and the team about both issues.

Hi Doug,

About the orange color, I've got feedback from the eZ Crew on this. There will be a redesign of ez.no also (not defined yet when). It could be that color schemes will be tuned between the two sites for consistency once that redesign is finished. But that is an IF. I (or someone else from the team) will keep you posted on this here.

The smallest font size in the tag cloud renders almost illegible at standard 100% zoom in my Safari browser on a 1440X900 LCD screen.

I can confirm it, same problem here, my firefox version is 3.6.8, my resolution is 1024x768, same for ie8.

Good good job. So much better than before.

I agree : there is way too much orange on the home screen.

The tag cloud on the right is totally useless and takes up valuable screen space. Nobody ever uses tag cloud unless he is aimlessly browsing and this is not site for aimless browsers. And links like "# 4.0.0# 4.1# 4.1.3# 4.1.4# 4.2# 4.2.0# 4.2.1# 4.2.1 release# 4.3# 4.3 translation# 4.3.0# 4.4 translation# 404# 406# 5.0.4# 5.1.6# 612 " are not going to appeal even to totally clueless.

Tags may have a use in digging down into search results, but as a cloud - waste.
