There is a class called 'flash' that should work with swf files, but if I remember correctly you have to create them manually in the media library cause some content.ini or upload.ini settings are missing to make eZ Publish understand that this class should be used for swf files.
(It creates it as a 'file' object instead, witch doesn't have templates that handles swf files like the 'flash' object does).
