Hi!

if you have ftp access only then try to get ssh access from admin over there then it wouldb easy for you
to take backup and configure the site.

what you must do is:
1 - First take backup of everything
(database, settings,var,extensions and
design dir, any other file with special
changes)

2 - Download eZ publish distribution 3.7.2 from
http://ez.no/download/all_releases

3 - There are no special changes done in database
between 3.7.orc2 to 3.7.2 but you can update
your database
[ezpublish-3.7.2]\update\database\mysql\3.7\unstable\dbupdate-3.7.0rc2-to-3.7.0.sql
[ezpublish-3.7.2]\update\database\mysql\3.7\dbupdate-3.7.0-to-3.7.1.sql
[ezpublish-3.7.2]\update\database\mysql\3.7\dbupdate-3.7.1-to-3.7.2.sql

4 - Copy following folders from 3.7.orc2 to
new eZp 3.7.2
* settings/override
* Settings/siteaccess/[Your siteaccess]
* extensions/[Your all extensions]
* Var
* design/[Your sitedesign] (if you have it here
insted of extensions)
* Copy any other file you have done any special
changes.

5 - No need to execute any update script for
this upgrade

6 - Clear the cache

7 - Done
