Welcome to eZ publish Community!

Your problem might be related to authorization method which was change since version 4.1.

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/en/old-client.html

Turn on debug output in site.ini for installation process, you will see all errors in debug info.

Hi,
i have successfully installed ezpublish-3.7.3...:) During the database set-up ,i changed the server name from localhost to actual ip-address of my machine..It worked.

Also i had some issues when selecting a database in mysql.

MySql do not support the default character set provided in ini files. [IS0-855....series ]

I have changed the character set to UTF-8 in ini files which resolved the issue.
