First login as admin, go to "Users" section and create a user. Be sure your user, or the user group that owns it has a role assignated. You can confirm that in the "Roles" section, there'a a link on the left menu inside the Users section.
When this is done you should go to "www.yourdomain.com/index.php/user/", i think that's a default site access which comes with eZ installation. If with that URL you access directly to the site without being asked to login, you should edit "site.ini.append" file in "/settings/siteaccess/user/" and change:

[SiteAccessSettings]
RequireUserLogin=false

into:
[SiteAccessSettings]
RequireUserLogin=true
