Welcome to the eZ Publish community.

Step One: be sure you meet the requirements here: http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/installation/normal_installation/requirements_for_doing_a_normal_installation

Step Two: Setup the database and user, point Apache to a directory where you will install eZ Publish, install the eZ Publish filesystem there, and start the installation wizard:

--> Unix/Linux: http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/installation/normal_installation/installing_ez_publish_on_a_linux_unix_based_system

--> Windows: http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/installation/normal_installation/installing_ez_publish_on_windows

Step Three: Go through the setup wizard: http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/installation/the_setup_wizard

Your basic installation is complete! If you have trouble, post it here for help.
