Same here. I downloaded eZpublish 3.1 and the current MySQL 3.x is running and I cannot remove it. Does anyone know how? I want to install My SQL for a separate application and ezPublish will not let me. I am screwed.

I don't know if this will help but I'll give it a go :) I just re-installed the site - but now I'm totally confused about everything lol so I'm gonna do a psot in the General Forum.
OK... in my /settings/override folder on the server, some new files had appeared. I opened the one that said 'site.ini.append.php' and found [SiteAccessSettings] and changed CheckValidity to 'true'. That seemed to work and when I loaded up index.php again it was the original setup thingy.
