Hi,

Why not simply to upload all of the new or updated files to the live site

then clear cache at the live site

Copy your custom templates and the custom override.ini to the new server. That should do it.

Thanks Ferreira, Gabriel for your help.

That's also the one way to do. What about import/export packages. I tried 3-4 times on ez 3.4.4 but it is not working. Can anybody help me in this mater. Do 3.4.4 support import/export packages, if yes what is the proper way to export the design, changed templates and content to the fresh clean installation.

Cheers.

Hi,

In my experience importing/exporting packages sometimes works, sometimes not
but I can't give you a valid explanation about my importing/exporting troubles

If you have access to the live site I would recommend you simply to upload every updated file under design and settings dir, then clear cache at the live site (be careful with site.ini.append.php update to evoid overriding your live site database settings)

We have never used importing/exporting for design changes, instead we use it for database changes like exporting any custom class or objects of your own

hi there,

Thanks for your kind help.

The only problem is that I haven't got direct access to the live server. I tried importing and exporting packages in 3.5.0 and it works very fine on local development machine. But I don't know whats wrong with version 3.4.4.

Locally for development environment i am currently using is Apache 2.0.49(win32)/php4.3.8/Ez(3.4.4version). Is the environment right for development?

Please Help!!

Cheers

John,

I don't see any problem with your local setup, but your Apache isn't the recommended version which is Apache 1.3.x

Thanks Lazaro,

Do any one know how to import/export design, changed templates, classess manually from one ez site to another ez site. At the moment using EZ 3.4.4?

Cheers.
