ezwebin and ezflow currently does not support this setting.
It is already supported by ezwebin 1.4 in svn and we plan to support it in ezflow 1.1 as well.(both are next versions of the extensions that are going to be bundled with eZ Publish 4.1).

Until then you always have the option of overriding the templates and modify them to your need.

Hi,
Im using the 4.1.2 version and Im having similar problem as described by Carl: The activation of left menu did not produce any result.
Only top menu is working.
What should be done to activate left menu?

Is this an upgrade or a clean install, ezwebin 1.4 and ezflow 1.1 should support this. at least it did last time I checked.
You can see version info by typing in <web url>/ezinfo/about

Andre,
This is a clean install and the Version is 1.4-2.

When I select left menu for an access, the top menu disappear but the lef menu do not show up.
Sould I do someting else in addition to manage the menu position?

Andre,
I'm using a Frontpage as main (initial) page.
The left menu only appears for folders.

Ahh :) That explains it.
'Frontpage' hides left and right menus by design, so you need to swap the "frontpage" with a "folder", so it doesn't take the full width. This is something you can do in admin by clicking on the icon for the frontpage or folder object, in the context menu that shows up move your mouse to advance and select "swap node".
