Congrats on solving your problem, still I think you wrote a decent forum post.

Fyi the tutorial in question depends on custom created templates (i think) so they would not exist until you created them (later in the tutorial).

I don't know about the rest of you, but I kinda like Marat's post.

Perhaps because it is thorough, has details, or just plain long(er) winded than many.

I find it easier to help users who are willing to tell a story, write in detail and at length about the their situation from start to stop ;)

Personally, I think a number of the eZ publish newcomers could learn a lesson from this guy and write a bit more detailed questions with more details.

Only think I thought when reading this post was where's the link to the place where he had problems in the documentation / tutorial, which would help us get in-sync with his current situation a bit more quickly.
