Mark, what is your system configuration (PHP, Web server, etc). Try without .htaccess file.

Hi,

I know this could be a bit off topic, but lately it is frequent to get ISE from ez.no web site, we don't know why, but we think the problem could be in some way related to a heavy load at ez.no web server

any ideia ?

We're hosting our Intranet (made with eZ publish) with a hosting company (uwhost.net). On the cpanel, next informations:

Linux 2.6.8.1
Apache 1.3.33 (Unix)
PHP 4.3.10
MySQL 4.0.22-standard

Hmm... it seems to be very difficult to find a cause for this sudden 'Internal Server Error'...

This is not working, I am replying to my self... Wondering why this question is not gaining any attention. Our intranet is deactivated since a week, do not tell it is because we choose eZ publish? I've searched through this forum, with no results.

I guess you have received no reply because there is no one who really knows. AFAIK ez.no does not have any problems with ISE's at the moment and we have not received any other such reports.
The most probably cause is caused by some software combination. Maybe you can say a little more about exactly what you are trying to do, how frequent the ISE's are etc..

Mark:

I know it's late, but I'm just reading your post. An Internal Server Error is a vague error that just says, "I'm broken."

First and foremost, you should post the contents of your web server's error logs to the forums. This will at least provide specific information.

It sounds like some kind of web server configuration has changed, and this has broken eZ.

This is the big problem with shared hosting environments. You host could have implemented any number of security considerations that broke your system as well.

If your stuff is still broken (it's the 28th!), please contact me through FireBright.com and I will assist you in fixing your problem.

I can assure you it's not eZ Publish that's the problem. I can't think of the last time I got an Internal Server Error out of it on any site.

Jonathan
