Hi Axel,

I believe that export/import is only for content classes and not the objects themeselves.

For each version of ezPublish, there are scripts located in

./update/common (for scripts and the like)
./update/database (for db structure and the like)

If all your ini file modifications are done in overrides you should just be able to place the new version over the old version (take a backup first!!!) and then update the database with the appropriate scripts (also take a backup first!!!)

Regards,
Willie

Hi

3.3 only supports import/export of content classes, while the new 3.4 supports import/export of content objects as well ( including binary files, images, etc. )

How mature is the import/export in the 3.4 beta 1 ?
Are the packadges (content class definitions) exported in the 3.3-4 compatible with 3.4 beta 1 ?

Hey Kåre,

I obviously didn't read the 3.4 changelog properly!

What are the new files - I'd like to have a look to find out how they are exported (xml)

How does the export content object etc handle node conflicts? IE if node id's are already taken, or does it just create new ones by default?

Regards,
Willie

For me, unfortunately import (class and objects) is not working properly.
(3.4.0 beta 1 )
I have reported this bug.

My environment is: windows, php 4.3.4, apache 1.3.27

Willie, have you test this in a diferent environment with diferent results ?

I havn't tried import/export yet, so you'll have to wait untill an ez Systems guy gets round to replying to this forum.

Whats the bug titled by the way - I'll have a quick look at it.

Regards
Willie
