I've been running with this for a while with no difficulties. Manually created users and those created from our LDAP server are created ocrrectly and work fine from a custom group. So, yep, its as easy as that.

What I am having huge problems with is the display of a custom user object and sections. If you or anyone else has insight here are the original posts:
