- do a cache cleanup (admin interface or script)

- zip the complete ezpublish dir

- dump the db, using on the command line (dos prompt) the command mysqldump, or using phpmyadmin

- copy dump+zip over to new server, unzip and import db

- change the settings in settings/override and settings/siteaccess that relate to db and other things that cahnged

Hi Gaetano Giunta,
Thanx alot for your reply. I have done all the steps reffered by you,
and my user site is working fine but problem is with admin site as it is not showing any css or images,
when i checked it's browser view source its using the old file path which it should not be using..
I have cleared all caches using admin user interface..
I know this problem is of cache only.
Please suggest where i am mistaking .

- what is the 'old file path': did you change the design, or is it pointing to the directory of the previous installation? normally links to css / images do not include the hostname. Are yours including the hostname or just a relative path?

- try clearing caches by hand, removing folders var/cache and var/$name_of_your_siteaccess/cache

HI Gaetano Giunta,

The trick of "clearing caches by hand, removing folders" worked for me.. :)
the 'Old file path' was directory of the previous installation.
Now My admin side is working fine .Thanx for all ur guidance..

Thank you,

Akhi
