This functionality was disabled in the later 2.x versions and removed completely from 3.x because it uses to many resources. Also, the information is generally available through the apache logs and there are many good tools out there to analyze them. If you want to have statistics directly into eZ publish I would suggest either integrating one of the existing tools or to write a tool based on the apache logs yourself.

and btw: the pro and enterprise versions of eZ publish do not contain any extra functionality.

Problem: userid's aren't logged. Does anyone (Derick?) know how to set the apache http log variables from php ? If we could fill in the userid there, prblem solved. If not, best to log to tables or db from index.php with time, userid, module/action, node/object/id

Then I would suggest logging to file (much faster) or to another program which can execute the SQL calls asynchronously
