pci and rpmbuild has find a lot of dependancy for eZ Publish for that, I have cut eZ in 4 RPMs ezpublish, ezpublish-openfts, ezpublish-ezodf and ezpublish-ezlupdate
AFAIK the openfts implementation in eZ Publish 4.0 is not in a usable state (contains hardcoded paths all over the code etc.), no idea how it ever got into the distribution. I would just skip that part if I was you.
