I've just discovered that the problem disappears when I disable XMLArea editor. Is there way to solve this problem so that I can use XMLArea?

You could try http://pubsvn.ez.no/community/trunk/extension/xmlarea-for-36/

It worked for me without errors in a short test in 3.6 and 3.7.

This xmlarea-for-36 version did not work for me - failed with the following error:

Fatal error: A database transaction in eZ publish failed.

The current execution was stopped to prevent further problems.
You should contact the System Administrator of this site with the information on this page.
The current transaction ID is TRANSID-0fea1f36031226b3e45a4a440f6df8a3 and has been logged.
Please include the transaction ID and the current URL when contacting the system administrator.

Did someone succesfully test xmlarea with eZ publish (Version: 3.6.0 (3.6.0) Révision SVN: 11973)
?
many thanks

Hi guys,

I replaced the original xmlarea with this one, and the first time I tried to edit an object, I got the same db transaction error. I then disabled the editor, edited the object in "text mode" wheere I removed the links, and then tried again.

This time, I got to editing mode, but I was only able to edit the second of the two WYSIWYG controls for the object. Also, the links created in the editor do not appear on the web site.

In conclusion, it seems like the original xmlarea editor actually works better for me on v. 3.6. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

I think that the source of this problem is the new way of handling links in XML fields in eZ.

Could someone from eZ crew, or the creator of XMLArea contribution confirm this, and/or suggest a fix?
