Well ....

While your idea may be interesting. You have embedded your personal opinion into your question in such a way I must strongly disagree.

There are several solutions for those looking to offer surveys or quizzes

OK my fault. It should be a question not an opinion :)

While ezsurvey is not that sofisticated (and crashes on me on regular basis, not sure why- might be incompatible with MySQL 5 but not sure) and the other one costs about 500 $, a comprehensive, perhaps external solution embeded into eZ as a contrib would be nice.

While I agree that more developers in the community would be wise to choose to engage with other existing developers on continued development of community supported solutions ...

The reality remains that the software is free for you to improve to better suite your own needs. If I had the request, time, direction or need, I too could do this the same as you.

The examples I shared with you offer different solutions to similar needs.

One is a community supported extension for eZ Publish (Community), ezsurvey.

The other is a Certified eZ Publish extension for eZ Publish Now and yes it is a supported extension which does carry a monetary cost to reflect this guarantee.

I really must strongly disagree that the community 'needs' an external solution embedded into eZ.

I instead insist that the community would 'benefit' most from developers improving and collaborating on solutions build with in eZ
