You can disable versioning by setting
<b>[ContentSettings] EditDirtyObjectAction</b> in the site.ini.append.php of your siteaccess to <b>usecurrent</b>.
If this key is not in your site.ini.append.php of your siteaccess folder, just add it.
Make sure there is no override for this parameter in your override/site.ini file.
