I'm still not sure what you are talking about Tony, just tested width in size and size% in both firefox and IE.

So:
What browser?
What issue?
What did you do to get the issue?

André,

Two quick questions:

1) How far is the new OE from what it is meant to be by the version 1.0, in terms of functionality?
2) When do you expect it to be released stable (as precisely as possible - week? month? two?).

Thanks!

Hi Andre,

In the old OE you could edit the Widths of Tables. In this Version it looks like you can only add, remove columns and rows etc. In the old OE you used to be able to set Column width etc by right clicking and setting column, row, cell widths and height.

Mac, FF 2.0.0.12, Latest eZ 4 SVN.

Tony - you can still do this in the new version. I am not sure it is obvious, but if you click on the table, td, etc in the status bar at the bottom of the editor frame, you will get a popup that allows you to set the properties for that tag, including width.

Yes, clicking on tr ( table row) will let you set row properties.
I will add possibility to set settings for a whole column in the table cell dialog shortly.

I'll also look into adding 'apply to whole row', but this will set settings to the cells in that row and not the actual table row (tr tag).

Tony: Apply to row and apply to column was added to svn yesterday.

Piotrek:
> 1) How far is the new OE from what it is meant to be by the version 1.0, in terms of functionality?

Quite close now, only 4 visible features missing:
* paging on upload -> search
* browse and search for node / object on link dialog
* styling in dialogs and fine tune the styling of editor content (make sure block content float more correctly)
* nesting bug on inline custom tags

> 2) When do you expect it to be released stable (as precisely as possible - week? month? two?).

Some time next month, depending on show stopper bugs that might show up.

Thanks André

We will get to testing... The OE is key to Editors performance and I really want this to be a great release. We have already earmarked it for a couple of upcoming projects.

Why not a 3.10 version?
It means that ez system no longer support the 3.x family?

Online Editor is a extension and not part of eZ Publish, therefor not subject to our eZ Publish support on two last stable branches. But when it is done it will be supported on 4.0 and 4.1.

But the real reason has more to do with lack of time to back port the new OE to php 4, so if there is enough demand / founding for it when it is done, we might consider back porting it.

OE doesn't use auto loading on it's own classes, so you can safely activate it using settings/override/site.ini*

Hi Andre,

Thank you for this very valuable development.

I have some problems with the images:
- when I try to upload an image, I got the following javascript error: "eZtinyMceRelationUrl is not defined" in popup.js (line 281)
- when I go to the "browse" panel, whenever I try to click on one of the menu bar option (user, design, media...) I got an error "The requested URL could not be retrieved", which is normal because it is trying the following command POST /ezoe/expand/58/0 HTTP/1.0

I am using the last version (yesterday from SVN) of ezoe, and I tried both FF 2.0.0.12 and IE 7.0.5730.11 (Windows XP).

Could it be a misconfiguration on my site ?

Thank you for your help,
Hakim

Is there anything new in SVN that would help with the ability to link to internal nodes and objects with a browse function yet? It has been a few weeks since the last discussion of it, and I have a few users that are testing the OE with a workaround but I would like to get them regular linking functionality when it becomes available.

Thanks
Mark

Actually, we just added code for this ourselves. I am not sure we are set up to contribute the change, are you interested in seeing what we did?

yes, committed a cleanup of the popup dialogs js code on late Tuesday that where cooked during the easter. So adding browse and search is close now, but you can send me code anyway if you like ( ar AT this domain ).
The official beta version will have to wait for next week because of some other projects that came up and because of the cleanup.

Hakim Bouras:
Should be fixed during the easter cleanup, so try to export svn again.

Can you add the possibility to add/edit image captions? In my publication I usually use creative commons photos, so it would be bad not to credit the photographers.

Like the one you got when you upload a new image?

The current input is a text string, while the default caption is an xml field.
So in the editor it should be an xml field.
