I'm also going to say RSS feeds. I'm not going to go to this site every day but if I see something come by that looks interesting I'll take a look and maybe dispense with a bit of advice. But, if I have to come here... well, I'll probably won't bother unless I have a problem.

Also, if you are making RSS feeds, don't just do each forum as a RSS feed - give me that latest list as an RSS feed - I'm not going to want 8 feeds cluttering up my toolbar space.

some questions:
Whats up here http://share.ez.no/ with the two infoboxes, none of then seem to work. Latest forum activity never seems to change, and best rated forum topics is not listing according to rating.

Also the tag cloud is inactive

and.. while this forum seems to behave normally http://share.ez.no/forums/feedback-and-ideas-for-this-portal

look at the dates on the replies here http://share.ez.no/forums/install-configuration - something is fishy. I guess something has gone wrong with the importing?

also... it seems the necessary redirecting for ez template code lookup hasnt been implemented in the docs server

My 50¢ worth :)

Your 50¢ goes a long way john :)

The caching does need to be tuned a little. I've noticed that forum posts don't end up on the main 'latest posts' for all forums.

We'll get to it.

If you see other issues please note them on the tracker.

Hi

when i just clicked the login button, it went to the ez.no login page but with an error message (valid login is required).

anyway, i tried to paste some php code from my mac yesterday and couldnt make it and gave up.

let me try again ...

$parentnode <span> </span>= eZContentObjectTreeNode::fetch($node_id);<span>    </span>
<span></span>if (!$parentnode || $parentnode->classIdentifier()!="image") {<span>     </span>
<span></span>return $module->handleError( eZError::KERNEL_NOT_AVAILABLE, 'kernel' );<span>    </span>
<span></span>}
<span>    </span>
<span></span>

no .. i dont think so. it looks weird while editing anyway.
and as mentioned elsewhere, i cant write anything *after* the literal block.<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>

$2c,

Editing a post that contains literal text is broken

{def $test=fetch('content', 'list', array()}

edit: modifications of post are not Smartcached :(

@Sylvain : can you open an issue in http://issues.ez.no/IssueList.php?ProjectId=6&ClearOk=1 ? it will help to not forget it.

Cheers

This portal is quite different than the others I've encountered.. but apart from the other issues mentioned above the forums are so far user-friendly in my opinion. Suggestion I can give would be to add more features to the add-reply text box. :)

The default html colors for background, text and link needs to be set. In my browser I have gray background by default, and share.ez.no shows with a gray background, while other sites (e.g. ez.no) show up with white background since they set the default colors.

The issue tracker on issues.ez.no is fine, but it needs to be included in an appropriate wayAudi 100 Parts

I always hate dealing with CSS, but you guys made your stylesheet easy to "decipher". Makes it easy and less time consuming to edit it.

Finding the icons and the layout of the forums frustrating at the moment.

You are welcome to blame being a new user.

On my screen at least ( a large Mac, running firefox 3.6 ) when I view forums.

For instance:

http://share.ez.no/forums/install-configuration

I actually have to scroll down to find new entries.
Prior to figuring out that icon means "sticky" I have found myself confused on other sections of the boards wondering why items with year old threads are at the top.

Equally, less important but still mildly frustrating and potentially confusing.

1) When I log in, I have to force a refresh to see the page change to reflect I am logged in.

2) This same refresh issue is linked to posting a new topic and not seeing it, making me question if it had been received.
