Maybe you should check out

http://ezpublish-france.fr/

Indeed there is no French translation, but on the French speaking community portal, you may get help as well

I've already done it.
This site is dead. Answers on forum are almost like this: "Go on ez.no english documentation"

I really want to use ezpublish, I think it's the best cms for now. But there's no french community and nobody can help each other. I think that if we can put a translation online, it could be a first step.

Salut Charles-Edouard,

You can have a look here:
http://www.linuxorable.fr/ez_publish/

I did some french translations of the original doc.
_____________

@ez system

About documentation, I'm translating the multi-language doc and in the "Initial/main language" paragraph I can read:

Content that is in the initial/main language can not be removed from the object.

But I really don't understand what this sentence means.
Can I have an example ?

Regards

Pascal

It's surprising! I didn't find it on google.

"Content that is in the initial/main language can not be removed from the object."
=> All objects must exist into the main language. Then you can delete an additional language of an object whereas you can't delete the main language of this object.

Think you for your translation ;-)

Well, if you search "installer ez publish" you find:

1000. Installer eZ publish

in the third position on the first page. This is a link to:
www.linuxorable.fr/Installer-eZ-publish.html
where you will find other articles I wrote before I create www.linuxorable.fr/ez_publish/

If you search "documentation ez publish" you find:

eZ Publish / Actualités / Linuxorable & eZP - Linuxorable & eZP

on the fourth position of the second page.

I recently moved from linuxorable.net to linuxorable.fr so the google referencing is not yet very good.

If you have some ideas about how to promote ez publish in the french community you can mail me to pascal at linuxorable.fr

Regards

Pascal

I will also use this topic to tell something about the eZ publish french traduction. It's good job, but the guy who translated should have called "system URL" as "URL système" or "URL statique" instead of "système d'URL" which doesn't mean anything in the URL traductor menu.

I did some thinking the other day about what it might take one to create an 'unofficial' translation of the documentation.

I wrote a stub node on the wiki, regarding documentation translations.
http://pubsvn.ez.no/wiki/en/ez/translations

In the end my conclusion fell along the lines of how eZ publish language translations are currently maintained.

I would gladly welcome your thoughts and or apposing views on the subject.

cheers,

I sign in. Glad to share my work with you. I keep working on my own translation on my website, but I'll put it to your wiki too.

The problem that I have is that I do not find scarcely any documentation on ez in Spanish, absolutely at all, and seems to me to be strange provided that the Spanish is the third language most used about the world.

Of all forms thanks to Kraker for hiswiki and I will follow the progresses of his wiki

Le problème que j'ai consiste en ce que je ne trouve à peine de documentation sur ez chez l'Espagnoll, absolument tout à fait, et me semble rare étant donné que l'Espagnol est la troisième langue plus utilisée autour du monde.

grâce à toi aussi Coste
