Great Question. I'd be really impressed to hear a positive on this question :)

I checked the translation list, but don't see Japanese listed as provided.

I think it would be simply kickin' to find an eZ publish installation on the nets with Japanese content.

Yes, this is possible. eZ publish has full support for Unicode (UTF-8).

You need Postgresql or >=Mysql 4.1.1

There is no translation file for japanese, so you'll do some translation.

It would be very nice if a <i>japanese </i> translation was to surface from the community.

It seems asian translations are some of the most missing out of the remaining available languages.
