Try changing EZ_PACKAGE_VERSION', '3.4.0beta1 in kernel/classes/ezpackage.php to match your eZ Publish version or the package version to the design style.
it looks like packages for 3.5.0 and 3.5.1 are non compatible (return the error above). A workaround is to downgrade to 3.5.0, import the package, upgrade to 3.5.1
I have download the file "ezpackage.php" from http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen/
and uploaded it again. Now when I try to import a package, it start
uploading but nothing more, the error also disappeared but I still can't see tne new styles.
