Hi,

Have you been able to install the rewrite ? on the .htaccess ?

I'd love to hear about you on that topic, as I've found a solution, albeit not very elegant (based on a custom 404 error page).

Xavier, I did not use .htaccess for the rewrite. I'm actually hosted on a VPS so I have root access and access to httpd.conf. I simply added the appropriate code in there directly.

I did a search and found that a few people were having problems with the Hostname install of eZ Publish on Cpanel servers. Well if you have access to Web Host Manager (WHM) on your Cpanel server you can easily set up the admin subdomain:

1. Log in to WHM
2. Go to DNS Functions > Park or Point a Domain
3. Select the domain you have (or want to use) ez publish installed in from the list.
4. Enter admin.domain.com (or whatever) in the "Domain to park" box
5. Submit the form.

The DNS info will be set up for your subdomain.

www.domain.com will be the site and admin.domain.com will be the admin section. Works like a breeze for me.

Does this STILL apply nowadays? Cant make it work :( I need to first do this then add an SSL, any help is welcome :)

Cheers

Just to let you know that I solved the problem... somehow the first parked domain registry in WHM got damaged so I had to think about another subdomain name. This time it worked just fine.

Cheers
