Hi Thomas

If you google for this error message you can see that quite a lot of people had similar problems. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a good solution for this. Some solved it be using another version of php, some compiled it again, some reinstalled some pcre package which seems to be native to some linux distros (which I have no clue about). So you might be better off asking this question in freebsd or php forum - I am not sure how many linux gurus there are here.

Hi Claudia, you're amazing! thanks for the advices.
So I try an other php version(4.4) and it works, nevertheless I have still a pb, when I compiled php with gd , it missed imagegd2 extension so texttoimage template is not available which triggers white page(with nothing)!(also the PHP functions ImageTTFText and ImageTTFBBox is missing, without this functions it is not possible to use the texxttoimage template operator)
I dunno how to handle but I'm continuing my search, if u have an clue I would be grateful!

Hello Thomas

I once had a similar problem with texttoimage not working. The GD version compiled into the PHP version did not provide the necessary functions, the bundled version was required. Check the php manual at http://php.net/gd for information on how to check which version you use and how to compile php with the bundled version. I hope it helps...

Hi Claudia! thx a lot, I check the php-website and I google this site and I found out how to compile PhP with good&enough module and good version!( http://ez.no/community/forum/developer/php_modules_needed_fo_ez_3_8_1/re_php_modules_needed_fo_ez_3_8_1__9
so it works(I see the pics)

but I have still an error!
admin site works but sometimes I have this error : "Fatal error : Undefined Class name'ezdatatype' in /usr/local/apache2/.../ezpublish.../kernel/classes/ezcontentobjectattribute.php on line 1032
Fatal error: ezpublish did not finish its request"
In fact it comes from a db commit, I tryed to change the login without password in the site.override.ini as in my mysql database but no change(it works except from some pages which trigger this same error) , when I add a new password, it advice me to upgrade mysql client as it does not support mysql authentification!

I would be grateful if someone could help me!

Hi Thomas

Regarding the problem with the fatal error I do not have the slightest clue I am afraid. The problem with the authentication might be solved with this information:

http://ez.no/community/forum/install_configuration/kernel_50_on_solaris_mysql_4_1_7_ez_3_4_3

Good luck

Hi Claudia!

Thx for your help! it solves authentification pb!
So from now on, I just upgrade 3.8.0 to 3.8.4(http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/3_6/installation/upgrading) and it works ,except from extensions, the thing is ezdhtml don't work I mean it's actif but I haven't the useful options to edit an article, what it's weird is when I change the state of this extension it doesn't make any change, still actif!
help would be appreciated!

Hello Thomas

What do you mean - it is still active? Does the checkbox for the extension stay checked even if you unchecked it before or is it something different? If it is the checkbox first check whether the same applies for other extensions as well. If yes, you settings directory most likely does not have the correct permissions so that EZpublish cannot write the new settings into the site.ini. If it is something different please tell me a bit more.

BTW: Next time please start a new thread if it is a new topic. When searching for something in the forum I very often look only at the title to decide whether the thread might contain useful information. Thus I like titles that fit the topic of the thread.
