You should point a webbrowser to the index.php file of your installation, so "Konqueror" is a good way, i guess.
Did you set up a virtual host for ezPublish? Can you tell us something about your setup? Is this a local (test-)installation, so you webserver and your webbrowser are on the same system? If you set up a virtual host, did you use rewrite rules in the Virtual Host config?

I have a partitioned hard drive and am using the linux side with Mandrake. I downloaded this file -- ezpublish-3.4.2-Linux-rh8.i386.tar.gz -- from this site. I tried a couple of the installers, and don't rembember which one I ended with, but I think it was the red hat one. Maybe I should just start all over, but I am not sure whether that would work with all the things that are already there.
