Hello Geoff

Can you give an example of such a post here on the forum?

Most likely, it's the rewrite rules that are not correct, and match more than a literal "robots.txt".

The correct rewrite rule (as also mentioned in the eZ Publish technical manual) is

RewriteRule ^/robots\.txt

Hi Geoff,

I've updated the robots rewrite rule, it was indeed a bit lazy (it matched robots.txt, not robots\.txt). Was not able to reproduce the problem you described though (although, now it's probably fixed anyways). Do you have an example forum post you know of that redirected you to the robots.txt file?

Cheers,
Ole M
