The images will not be copied over. SiteCopier is simply a scriptsolution to mirror over your webpages as static (non-php generated) pages. The images are picked from the normal filetree..
The rewriterule is the one responsible for checking for the static version of the page. It does so with the RewriteConditional : RewriteCond /var/www/ezpublish_static/yourdomain.com$1index.html -f
(The -f at the end of the line means, this file has to exist)
