Me again. I forgot to mention that I'd also checked out eZ's Online Editor and noticed that you couldn't do a "tab" function when adding text with the product. Is this someting that eZPublish just isn't capable of doing?
Not being able to do a tab in OE is a "feature" since you are not supposed to do layout this way using HTML. Similarly you cannot insert lots of linebreaks in the rendered text by pressing enter lots of time in OE. There has been some controversy concerning this, so it might change in the future.
Daniel, have you set this up on a plain text field or an XML text field? As far as I am aware, eZHTMLArea will only work on a plain text field. The errors you are running into sound like they would result from eZ publish trying to parse the results of eZHTMLArea and compare it to its XML rules.

So is it possible to change the text field setting for eZPublish to plain text field? I played around with it this afternoon and couldn't find the settings.
On a related note, what do organizations using eZPublish do to allow there front-end users to format text? I can't imagine that most front-end users would know how to code their content to get the look that they want. Thanks much.
You can't change one type of field to another. You would need to add a plain text field to the class and remove the XML text field. Note, once you remove the XML text field, you will lose all information stored in that field for the class, so it is important that you add the plain text field first and transfer all of your text to the new field before removing the old field.
I know a lot of people use the Online Editor to help with formatting and the like. I don't have any experience with it myself though.

I ve add eZHTMLArea to eztext.tpl. It`s works fine but there is a one problem. When i click publish data are saved but the output is with html tags. For example: data are saved aa
<strong><em>text</em></strong>
and the output is the same. Why? Why the browser don`t parse this simple html code? All
Check your override templates to make sure that the code used to display the text is not using a wash operator. It will look like <i>|wash</i>. That could be causing the problem.

<i>When in doubt, clear the cache.</i>
