We are going to develop something similar during the next weeks. The eZ crew have got the spesifications(functionality descriptions) from us, and we are wondering if it's better to develop this as an extension, rather than make adjustments to our system and implement a solution like this, so this "module" can be used on other sites as well (maybe as a standard of eZ publish).
I think I'll get feedback from the crew today or monday, so we'll see if they can develop this as an extension on the estimated budget.

The spec. I wrote to ez for the new notification system made it too expensive, because I wanted this to be developed as an extension, but then our notification-system had to be totally rewritten, so I guess we have to fix something by ourselves. Or maybe we can share the costs (if someone also needs this kind of functionallity)?

I don't have so much time in june or july, but if we make this complete, I can add the php and tpl files for our existing notification-system in the contribution area.
