Thanks, but I don't get why I must now download a 30mb file and go to the hassle of installing it so as to do something so simple?
Once again, EZPublish just seems a bit clunky and unnecessary? Why allow the ability to enable/disable extensions if when you try, there's that error!? Why not show a friend error that states that EZComponents is required?
4.1 will come in two flavors, one with and one without (for those that prefer to use PEAR) eZ Components. So we are very aware of it, and thats why there is a very clear requriments for it in the install doc: http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/installation/normal_installation/requirements_for_doing_a_normal_installation
When it comes to oe you should be able to activate it manually editing settings/override/site.ini.*, but that is mostly oe specific as some other extensions have dependency on the autoload system. http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/4_0/installation/extensions/activating_the_extension
Thanks for your reply Andre. Dispite the error message, I again tried unchecking and checking the EzHTML tickbox and eventually, the online editor boxes started to appear, without manually editing anything.
Unsure why...but at least it works!!
Glad to hear that 4.1 will improve this process.
