i only can confirm this.
Have a look at the HTML code: eZpublish will create a line as <link rel="Alternate" href="/layout/set/print/blabla/bla" media="print" title="Printable version" />
It seems to me, as only the Internet Explorer does use this "Alternate URL". Sadly, but true. I had reported this to eZsystems earlier, but it's not an ezPublish issue. For the other browsers, you should add an "Print View" Button in your pagelayout, that links to the same URL.
