Your assumptions are true (code in eZRSSExportItem::fetchNodeList ). To have the RSS feed you want you will have to code or take a look at the various RSS contributions (there's a list of links at http://ezpedia.org/wiki/en/ez/rss ), maybe there's one doing what you need. Good luck!
