This is specified in your stylesheets/site.css. If you increase main site width, you should probably change other elements width also such as columns, menus, etc.

It was my mistake. site.css is used in standard and base design. You are using ezwebin which has pagelayout.css for the same purpose. Width is specified at the begining:

width: 960px;
}
Documentation for this kind of stuff is very thin on eZ site, because there is a lot of CSS docs/howto's/tutorials on the web. For easier work with CSS I suggest that you install some tool like Firebug.
I already use Firebug and it's a great tool. I also recommend "Beginning CSS Web dev" by Simon Collison...
Yet, the eZ Publish doc could (should) be more complete in that respect.
The top would be to have an elastic layout... I'm going to try

If you are using ezwebin I suggest you try an ELASTIC LAYOUT by simply editing the file : /var/www/html/YOURSITE/extension/ezwebin/design/ezwebin/stylesheets/pagelayout.css
Just change 770px for 100%

Your site will look much better for wide display. So far I cannot find anything else which need ajustement for having the site using all the screen available. It's really cool.
