A question : could you tell me how to link a section to the good page layout.
I tryied pagelayout_mynewsection_10.tpl but it don't work. (section already create in the admin site).
In the demo>override>templates there is templates without ID number e.g. my_company.tpl. How it works ? I can't find anything about this.
You have written some "documentation" for the new template override system. Will this system replace the current one, so that all overrides will have to be redone once my clients decide they want to upgrade to 3.1?
Sven: yes, you will need to upgrade your template setup for 3.1. However you only need to create a configuration file. There is a script ( update/common/scripts/generateoverridesettings.php ) which does this for you. It should only be a matter of mintes to get a 3.0 site run with this new system.
However I would recommend that you use the new features of the override system so you can have nicer names for the override files ( article.tpl, folder.tpl, article_frontpage.tpl etc.. ) This will make maintainance simpler.
