Can you not just add a location (from the edit page) for the content you were redirecting to? I dont understand why you would want to redirect rather than add a location.
In the home page there is a link to the products page (automatically generated by the treemenu) and following the treemenu the user has to click 4 times to see the first product.
I know I could create a custom template and reduce the number of clicks to 2. But because in this special case the name of the product is sufficient to give an idea of the product and the container pages are folder with an empty description, I want to skip the view of the container pages (products,category1,subcategory2), and let users to choose the next product directly from the menu which appears on product1 page.
It's a bit more clear?
