Hi Bruce.
Thank u for your post.
I don't think your solution is completely right.
I opened /edit/ezinteger.tpl but I think it only contain settings about min and max value of the datatype.
I think (but I'm not sure) that the "lenght" of the text area space is defined in some .css file but I cannot find it. What I cannot understand is if There is a specifically condition for ezinteger datatype or all datatypes inherit from a single definition. Thanks a lot.

In my instalation of eZ 3.8.7 design/standard/templates/<b>content</b>/datatype/edit/ezinteger.tpl contains:
{* DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE! Use an override template instead. *}
{default attribute_base=ContentObjectAttribute}
<input id="ezcoa-{if ne( $attribute_base, 'ContentObjectAttribute' )}{$attribute_base}-{/if}{$attribute.contentclassattribute_id}_{$attribute.contentclass_attribute_identifier}" class="box ezcc-{$attribute.object.content_class.identifier} ezcca-{$attribute.object.content_class.identifier}_{$attribute.contentclass_attribute_identifier}" type="text" name="{$attribute_base}_data_integer_{$attribute.id}" size="10" value="{$attribute.data_int}" />
{/default}
The size is fixed at 10.
design/standard/templates/<b>class</b>/datatype/edit/ezinteger.tpl is the template that is used when editing the class defination and conatins the max & min stuff.
Firebug ( http://www.getfirebug.com/ ) is a fantastic plugin for firefox that (amongst other things) allows you to "inspect" html elements and see the styles that are applied to it, including the file and line number where the style is located. I find it invaluable for working with styles.
...
Ops.
I understand my error.
I use ez3.9rc1 with the ezwebin extension activated.
I watched the ezinteger.tpl of the extension (that override the standard ones) and I didn't find nothing. Now I will try your solutions. Thank a lot.
