Still having the same problems. The "publish before" and "publish after" triggers simply aren't working - I've checked with debug. I'm desperate here... on a very strict timeline. I've also tried upgrading to 3.2beta1 with the same result - the multiplexer and the "publish before" and "publish after" triggers all still don't work.
I am working on this bug right now, but we are having some problems reproducing the bug. I will do my best to fix this before the next release (probably before next beta).

The fix is done in the ezmultiplexertype.php located in kernel/classes/workflowtypes/event/ezmultiplexer You can use this file directly in both version 3.1 and 3.2 beta (if you also download the template you can even use it in 3.0)
svn is unfortunatly down today and I don't think it is comming up again before tomorrow.
