Introduction

At the end of this tutorial, you should have enough knowledge for setting up the eZ Find Solr daemon, and ezodf (OpenOffice.org) conversion daemon in a shared virtual hosting environment.

No Bjorn... Note that this is a tutorial about running eZ Publish daemons in any shared virtual hosting environment, and not only on RHEL. OK, it does have the startup scripts for RHEL, but it describes a general idea that can be used for any shared virtual hosting server.

Also, if on a common shared hosting RHEL server you ask your admin to install a RPM from xrow he will probably ask you "What is xrow and is it included in the latest stable RHEL distro?".

I encourage you to read the whole tutorial, especialy the "Situation and demands" part to get the complete idea what this tutorial is about.
